Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. This page explains exactly which cookies The Life Check uses and why. We keep it to the absolute minimum.

We use two types of cookie only — one to keep you logged in, and one for anonymous site analytics. No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking.

The cookies we use

Cookies we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking cookies, or any cookies that build a profile of you across other websites. We do not sell cookie data or share it with advertisers.

If you don't have an account

If you take the Life Check without creating an account, only the Google Analytics cookies are set. The PHPSESSID session cookie is only created when you sign in.

Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies at any time. Bear in mind that blocking the session cookie (PHPSESSID) will prevent you from staying logged in to your member account.

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Do we need your consent?

The PHPSESSID cookie is strictly necessary for the login system to function and does not require consent under UK GDPR. The Google Analytics cookies are anonymised analytics cookies. We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled.

If you have concerns about any of our cookies please contact us at hello@thelifecheck.com.
